This Bypassable Door/Window Contact is designed for use on doors that may need to be temporarily bypassed to serve as an entry and exit path to an armed zone. Great for those times you want to open a door without having to fully disarm the system.
For example, your dog needs to be let outside in the middle of the night or someone needs to leave early for work. The bypass sensor lets you easily press a button to open the door without entering your code or creating a disturbance.
Press the button on the contact for three seconds to enter bypass mode, allowing you to open and close the door or window one time. Once the contact closes, the bypass is removed and the contact is monitored by the system again. The red LED sensor lets you know when you are in bypass mode.
There is a discreetly hidden push-button integrated into the top of the case that lets you activate the bypass feature – to open and close the door once without having to disarm the alarm panel. An integrated LED indicates the state and status of the bypass feature. For higher security, the bypass push button can be disabled and the contact can be used as a micro-sized door window contact without the local bypass feature. A message is sent when the magnet is moved away from the door contact, and another message is sent when the magnet is restored to the contact. The contact communicates with a control panel over a 345 MHz frequency. The contact is equipped with a cover tamper to notify you if the device has been interfered with.
