There are many potential sources of fire in our own four walls, such as open fire like candles or a fireplace. Also, irons, cooking utensils or many other electrical appliances can cause a fire. Smoke detectors can save lives. In the event of a fire or smoke, every second is important for suppressing the fire or for the people to escape and to protect themselves.
The POPP fire sensor reliably detects the presence of smoke and fire. In the event of an accident, it sounds acoustically and sends the alarm signal to all other POPP smoke detectors in the range. This ensures that the alarm reaches people on all floors, as well as at night as they sleep.
Thanks to Z-Wave wireless technology, you can define additional actions triggered by the control center in case of an alarm. To enhance safety, evacuation routes can be highlighted by automatic lighting, opening blinds and unlocking doors. If the cause of the alarm is an electrical device (eg. an iron), it can be turned off automatically.
In addition to these features, the Z-Wave fire sensor can be used as a standalone internal siren to be integrated into an existing security system. In the intelligent home Z-Wave network, the smoke detector can be connected to other sensors such as door and window sockets or motion sensors, regardless of the control center. In case of an alarm, the acoustic signal will be different from the signal in the event of a fire.
